You've learned how to effectively search Library OneSearch and databases... it's time to get the content you need for your research.
Accessing content varies from resource to resource, but there are some general strategies you can apply.
When using Library OneSearch or many of our databases, a good first step is to select the search results you want to access by marking records - this will save everything you've found to a temporary folder and, within this folder, you can look at the research you've found to be useful. In Library OneSearch, look for the pushpin icon in the corner of every record:
Clicking on an item's pushpin icon will save it to a temporary folder, and if you sign in to Library OneSearch, it will save what you find to your library account. As long as you are signed in to OneSearch when you save these items, they'll be there when you use the tool in the future.
The process of actually obtaining the items you find depends on content type. Let's explore accessing the most common item types: books, eBooks, and journal articles.
