Welcome to the OUWB Medical Library!
We are located on the first floor of Kresge Library, Room 130. The Medical Library provides a wide range of library resources, including books, journals, databases, and more for OUWB faculty to support their teaching and research activities. Please use this guide as a general information source for the main services and resources offered by our librarians and staff.
The guide is intended to provide an overview of key resources and services offered by the OUWB Medical Library and may not have everything we have or we do listed. If you have any questions regarding what the library can do to support your teaching or research, please contact us!
If you have any questions regarding library services or resources, please let us know!
OUWB faculty can access library electronic resources anytime from anywhere. When accessing library resources from off campus through the library website, you'll be prompted to log in with NetID. Alternatively, you may connect to VPN prior to accessing electronic resources.
For any books, book chapter, or journal articles that are not immediately available through the library, you may request it using InterLibrary Loan (ILL) service. ILL service is free to OUWB students and faculty. The turn around time for electronic journal articles is usually within a couple of days.
You may use the Interlibrary Loan Service (ILLiad) to request items (journal article, books, book chapter, etc.) from another library. For any first-time users, please register for ILLiad first.
For additional information on ILLiad, please visit the FAQ page.
Medical librarians offer both course integrated instructions and workshops. Please reach out to the liaison librarian for your course or send a request to us through the Ask A Medical Librarian form.
The Medical Library welcome your suggestion and feedback on library resources. If you'd like to suggestion a new resource or share your feedback on a resource the library currently subscribes, please contact us through the Ask A Medical Librarian form.
