HOW TO: Downloading Database Content

If you are working in one of OU Libraries' databases or Library OneSearch, you can download database content directly from its catalog record. Explore this guide to find detailed instructions for performing this action in OU's major databases.

For a list of available JSTOR databases, click here.

Navigate to the JSTOR database you'd like to use. You may need to log in with your institutional credentials to access the database.

In this example, we're using JSTOR.

Enter your search terms and/or keywords into the search bar and select a specific field (if necessary). Click Search.

Items that are immediately available for download will be marked with a PDF Full Text notation (red box). If you see an article that you know you want to download, click this notation.

A new dialog box will appear, requesting that you accept the JSTOR  Terms & Conditions of Use and Privacy Policy. Click Accept and Download to continue the download process.

You will be redirected to a new page where the PDF version of the item in question is displayed. Click on the Download icon to download a copy of the item.

That's it! A PDF copy of the item will be downloaded to your device. Be sure to save the item after the download process is complete.
