A GrizzID, Gold Library Card, or Government-issued photo ID is required for borrowing any type of library material. You must present a physical ID card, we are unable to accept photos of IDs.
Most print materials may be renewed unless they have been requested by another patron.
Items can be returned in person at the Service Desk at the main entrance of Kresge Library, or in the outdoor dropbox on the wall to the left of the library's entrance. Please do not return Kresge Library items to the ERL in Pawley Hall.
You can request that we pull an available book, DVD, or CD from the shelf for you. The item will be at the Service Desk within 24 hours of receiving your request, and you will receive an email when it's ready for pick up. This service is free to all OU faculty, staff, and students. If a book is checked out, you may place a hold on it using the request option. You will receive an email when the book is returned, so you can check it out next.
Kresge library does not charge overdue fines for materials returned within 30 days past the due date.
If an item is damaged during use, depending on the severity of the damage, the library reserves the right to bill the patron for replacement. Kresge Library charges a flat $50.00 fee for books damaged beyond normal wear and tear. Replacement fees for non-book items vary, please contact library staff for exact amounts.

Students who owe fees totaling $25 or above will receive a banner hold, preventing them from registering for classes or requesting transcripts. The hold will be cleared once lost items are returned or a payment has been made.
