Troubleshooting Electronic Resources

Basic Troubleshooting

Are you having difficulty accessing our electronic resources?  Here are some basic tips for solving common problems.

Try a Different Browser

Different resources work differently in different internet browsers (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari), so the type of browser you use and its version can affect the way you view a resource. You can work around many issues by trying a different browser.

Clear Your Browser's Cookies and Cache

Web browsers store information on your computer in your cookies and cache, which can result in log in errors and/or prevent web pages from loading.  Clearing your cookies and cache, and restarting your computer will generally resolve these types of problems.

Access the Link Through OU's Website

If you are using a shared or saved link, there are several problems that can occur.  To solve these issues, try accessing the source directly from the OU Libraries website.

Contact the eResource Team

If you are still having problems accessing a resource or notice discrepancies with coverage dates, links, or any other errors, please contact the eResources Team to let us know.  You can contact us by completing the "Report a Problem" form on our website here.
