Google Scholar & OU Library Resources

Google Scholar can be configured to show you which of the search results are available from OU Libraries. Once you've configured the steps below, look for the Get It @ OU Libraries link.

Configure Google Scholar for Search

Google Scholar allows users to affiliate with a university.  Creating this affiliation allows users to obtain the full text of articles and other electronic materials made accessible by Oakland University Libraries.  Once you have configured Google Scholar for affiliation with Oakland University, a direct link should appear in your search results for items that can be accessed via OU Libraries.  Off-campus access to these items are limited to current students, faculty, and staff.

1.  Go to the Google Scholar homepage, click on the menu icon in the upper left and select "Settings."

2.  Select "Library Links" from the left menu and enter Oakland University in the search box.

3.  Check the box next to OU Libraries, as well as, Open WorldCat, and Oakland University - ProQuest Fulltext.

4.  Save your settings.
