HOW TO: Putting Resources Into RefWorks

If you are working in one of OU Libraries' databases or Library OneSearch, you can directly export a resource's information into your account. You can find detailed instructions for each OU Libraries resource in this guide.

Exporting References

Web of Science: Exporting References to RefWorks

Export Records to Legacy RefWorks (orange) OR ProQuest RefWorks (blue):

  1. From your search results, select the items you wish to save by clicking in the checkbox to the left of the appropriate citations and clicking on the Add to Marked List button.
  2. Click on the Marked List icon in the upper right when you are ready to export.
  3. On the Marked Records page, under Step 3: Select Destination, change the drop down to Save to Refworks.
  4. Your records should appear in the Last Imported Folder. You may have to log in to RefWorks to complete export.

These instructions are valid for the following databases:

  • Arts and Humanities Citation Index (A&HCI)
  • Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)
  • Science Citation Index (SCI)
  • Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI)
