MathSciNet: Exporting References to RefWorks

For Legacy RefWorks (orange):
- From the search results screen, mark the records you want to export.
- Select the drop down menu after Batch Download above the search results.
- Choose citations (BibTeX) and click Retrieve Marked.
- A new page will appear. Select and copy the reformatted citations from that page.
- Log in to RefWorks.
- Select References/Import from the toolbar.
- Select BibTeX as the data source and MathSciNet AMS (BibTeX format) as the database.
- Paste the text you have copied in the textbox labelled: Import data from the following text.
- Click Import.
- Your records should appear in the Last Imported Folder.
For ProQuest RefWorks (blue):
- From the search results screen, mark the records you want to export.
- Select the drop down menu after Batch Download above the search results.
- Choose citations (BibTeX) and click Retrieve Marked.
- A new page will appear. Select and copy the reformatted citations from that page into a Notepad (.txt) file and save it on your computer.
- Log in to RefWorks.
- Open the Add a Reference (plus sign) menu and select Import References.
- Import the Notepad file you saved on your computer either by dragging and dropping the file icon to the import area or clicking select a file from your computer and choosing the file.
- Enter BibTeX as the type of file and select MathSciNet AMS (BibTeX format) as the database.
- Click Import.
- Your records should appear in the Last Imported Folder.
