Summer Reading BINGO is a fun spin on summer reading, to motivate you to read alongside other staff, faculty, OU alumni, students, and community members.
You can begin reading the books now and continue through Labor Day.
There will be a prize drawing for swag at the end of summer. Readers will receive one entry for each BINGO submitted, up to 12. Additionally, everyone who gets a cover-all will win a smaller prize.
To kick off this event, we are offering bookmarks to the first 160 people who sign up. Just stop in at Kresge Library and pick one up at the Service Desk. Also, stay tuned for a possible Book Swap Meet later in June.

Summer Reading BINGO FAQs
How does the challenge work?
Once you have completed reading a book, you can mark off up to two squares on your BINGO card for that book. Each completed line (horizontal, vertical, and diagonal) will earn one raffle entry, for a total of 12 possible raffle entries. All 12 BINGOs is considered a cover-all.
When does the reading challenge start and end?
The reading challenge starts on May 23, 2025, and ends on September 1, 2025.
Books should be started and completed during this time in order to count on your card.
Can I use one book for multiple squares on my BINGO card?
You may pick up to two squares per book. For instance, if you read The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas, you could mark off ‘Young adult novel’ and ‘Book adapted into a TV series or movie’.

How and when do I submit my BINGO card?
You can submit your BINGO card in one of two ways:
1. Submit an electronic form by September 3, 2025 to kresge@oakland.edu with Book Bingo Entry for (your name) as the subject line.
2. Mail your card and reading log (original or copy) postmarked by September 8, 2025 to: Kresge Library, Attn: Summer Reading Challenge, 100 Library Drive, Rochester MI 48309-4479
What are the prizes?
The prizes are a wonderful selection of Oakland University swag!
When is the prize drawing? How will winners be notified?
The prize drawing will be held in early September 2025. Winners will be notified via email or phone.
