Reservations

Library spaces such as private study rooms, cabanas, and meeting rooms can be reserved via the LibCal reservation system by current OU students, faculty, and staff. Visit LibCal to see descriptions of all available spaces and booking policies.

Most study rooms are available by reservation, while 4th floor study rooms are first come, first served.

The third floor is designated for QUIET STUDY ONLY.

  • No talking (even in study rooms!)
  • No group study
  • No cell phones

Note: Users may be asked to leave the 3rd floor if they're disturbing others. Users reserving 3rd floor study rooms or meeting room 326/328 are required to comply with the noise policy guidelines.

Meeting Rooms

The library has meeting rooms to accommodate larger groups.

The following rooms may be reserved via LibCal:

Library staff is not responsible for arrangement of furniture; arrangement of and for audio-visual equipment; or ordering and/or removal of refreshments unless the meetings are directly related to Library-sponsored meetings and events. Light refreshments are permitted in reserved rooms; all food, drink, associated containers and debris must be removed at the end of the meeting.

Room 242 (Nyberg Room) may be reserved only by full-time University employees for official Library or University business. To reserve, email circ@oakland.edu. Check with Access Services staff for additional guidelines related to the use of this room.

Video Viewing Rooms

Videos on reserve must be viewed in the library. Our viewing rooms are KL 313 and KL 412. These rooms do NOT need to be reserved in LibCal.

  • Search for videos via Library OneSearch.
  • Check out the video, a viewing room key, and the remote control at the Service Desk.
  • Follow step-by-step instructions posted in viewing room.
