Basic Troubleshooting

Below are basic troubleshooting steps to help resolve common access and linking issues with library resources:

  • Try a Different Browser:  Different resources may function better in specific browsers (e.g., Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari). The browser type and version you use can affect how resources are displayed. Switching to another browser often resolves many access issues.
  • Clear Your Browser's Cookies and Cache:  Web browsers store data in cookies and cache, which can sometimes cause login errors or prevent pages from loading correctly. Clearing this data and restarting your browser often fixes these problems.
  • Access the Link Through OU's Website:  Using shared or saved links can sometimes lead to access errors. To avoid these issues, access the resource directly through the OU Libraries website.
