Requesting Books Through MeLCat

Using MeLCat to Request Physical Materials

Looking for a physical item that Kresge Library doesn't have in the collection?

Make a materials request through the MeLCat system! The Michigan eLibrary Catalog (MeLCat) is a statewide network of Michigan libraries sharing resources with each other. The catalog lists items held by participating libraries and provides a way for patrons to search and request items to be delivered to their home library.

MeLCat is another service facilitated by the Access Services department at Kresge Library. Click these links for more information about Access Services' mission and service areas, and the types of materials you can access through this department. For specific information about MeLCat, click here.

There are two methods to requesting books through MeLCat.
