HOW TO: Using Interlibrary Loan

Can't find a title or source in our collections? Request it from another institution's library!

Library OneSearch Requests

Requesting electronic documents from Library OneSearch records

Need an article from Kresge Library's collections that's not electronically available?

Where you're reviewing the results list in the library catalog, you may see items that would need to be requested from another library (red box). In that instance, you can make an interlibrary loan request.

ILL Request

You will be prompted to log into the ILLiad system with your institutional credentials. Once you are logged in, you will be automatically directed to the appropriate Loan Request form with some of the fields pre-filled out. You may need to finish filling out some of the required fields if they did not auto-populate. Once the form is filled out, click Submit Request

After you click the "Submit Request" button, you can review your request(s) in your account in ILLiad. Any interlibrary loan requests will be listed in the "Outstanding Requests" tab in the left menu.
