Zotero is a free and easy to use tool that helps you collect, organize, cite, and share research citations. You can use Zotero in your web browser, but it's most effectively used as software installed on your computer -- it's available for Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems. In order to get started, you need to first register an account online. Once you have an account, you can use Zotero in several ways:

Are you concerned with, or would you like to learn more about, how to avoid plagiarism in your work? The OU Libraries also maintain the university-wide resource on Academic Integrity in Research and Writing. This information is presented as a micro-course, which is a freestanding online course in eSpace that you can enroll in and work through. You can also use this micro-course to learn more about citation styles and how to give credit to existing ideas in your work in your academic discipline.
This micro-course takes about 45-60 minutes to complete.
Use Library OneSearch - the OU Libraries consolidated catalog - to find print and online books, book chapters, journals, articles, and more! To narrow your retrieval to just scholarly peer-reviewed articles, use the filters under the search box to limit your retrieval to "Peer Reviewed." You can also specify a publication date range.

While I am always happy to provide one-on-one training in database searching, you may find these brief tutorials helpful for just-in-time learning.
