RULE 1: Determine the core terms, or keywords, of your topic. Those will become your search terms.
RULE 2: Be sure to enclose any phrases in quotation marks. With a field like peer tutoring, effective phrase searching is a must!
To most quickly determine an article's status as a peer-reviewed (or refereed) source, search in Ulrich's Periodicals Directory for the title of the journal where the article appears. If you see a referee jersey next to the journal listing, you'll know it's a peer-reviewed publication.
