To access OUWB Medical Library resources from off-campus, including at home or at Beaumont, you must log in with your Oakland University NetID and password—the same credentials for accessing Moodle or your OU email. If you have any questions, please contact the Medical Library at medref@oakland.edu or (248) 370-3772.
Study Space
There is a variety of study space available in the Medical Library on the first floor: Group Study, Quiet Study, and Individual Study Rooms. Additional Individual Study Rooms are available on the 1st, 3rd, and 4th floors of Kresge Library.
Book Borrowing
Books on the 3rd floor can be checked for 8 weeks, and can be renewed unlimited times unless there is a hold on the item. Book renewal can be done either in person at the Kresge Circulation desk on the second floor or online by logging to your own library account via Library OneSearch.
Interlibrary Loan / Document Delivery
You may use the Interlibrary Loan service (ILLiad) to request items (journal article, books, book chapter, etc.) from another library. For any first-time users, please register for ILLiad first.
For additional information on ILLiad, please visit the FAQ page.
Research Consultation

Drop by the Medical Library Office for assistance. We are located on the First Floor of Kresge Library, KL100. Our hours are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Library Instruction
Information Mastery instruction is strategically placed within the medical curriculum to develop students’ information skills for self-directed, lifelong learning and to enhance students’ learning outcomes in courses. Medical Library faculty are active in curriculum development, design and teach sessions, and/or integrate information mastery concepts into coursework and assignments/activities at the point of need. Please contact any of the medical library faculty members for individualized or small group instructional sessions or tutorials.
