OUR@Oakland: OU's Institutional Repository

Why deposit in OUR@Oakland

OUR@Oakland is Oakland University’s open-access publishing platform maintained by OU Libraries. OUR@Oakland helps increase the visibility of your work and maximizes research impact. *Open-access articles are viewed and cited more frequently than non-open-access articles, thereby having the potential to increase an article’s impact.

Faculty Research

  • Share your research with the entire world via the OUR@Oakland open-access platform indexed by Google and Google Scholar.
  • Provide full-text access to your published scholarship - linkable and shareable on social media (See submitting section for restrictions.)
  • Data sharing - Upload corresponding data sets for published articles.
  • Depositing provides a permanent, fixed URL that won’t change or disappear
  • Collections can be a single online portal for your scholarly output

Workshops and Conferences

  • Provide public access to conferences recordings
  • Share presentation slides, and other supporting materials
  • Archive and make publically available events sponsored by Oakland University

OUR@Oakland doesn’t ask for your copyright, just for your permission to distribute your work freely. We’ll also work with you to help you protect your copyright on articles you publish in the future.
