About OUR@Oakland

OUR@Oakland is Oakland University's institutional repository maintained by the University Libraries. The aim of OUR@Oakland is to collect, organize, and showcase the scholarship, creative work, and archival and special collections created by or affiliated with the Oakland University community. 


To support the University’s mission by providing a platform that will increase the visibility and research impact of the scholarly, creative and intellectual work produced by or affiliated with the Oakland University community.

To provide persistent access to the works of OU scholars.

To collect intellectual works produced by, or of high importance to, the Oakland University community, including, but not limited to:

  • faculty scholarship, pre-prints, research datasets, etc.
  • student theses, dissertations, and selected student works

To provide access to materials from Oakland University Archives and Special Collections.

To collect and provide access to records related to University operations or history, including but not limited to:

  • administrative reports and formal departmental documents
  • compilations of University data
  • meeting agendas and minutes from university committees
