Many diseases and issues have specialty organizations dedicated to the prevention, management, outreach and interventions. These groups do their own research and provide resources on their websites.
Some groups have a narrow focus like the American Lung Association (see sample MI data). While others are more focused on broader community issues such as the Michigan Coalition Against Homelessness.
Relevant groups can be found through tailored google searching, asking community partners, and reviewing websites for partner groups.
A Google search for .org Michigan homeless* limits results to only organizations with a .org url and catches all versions of homeless, homelessness etc.
