Grey literature includes items such as government reports, working papers, news articles, and other items published in sources other than academic journals. Finding grey literature can be challenging since it is not well-indexed and is not included in the major databases. However, there are some techniques you can use to track it down.
Newspaper Databases

US Newsstream This link opens in a new windowProvides recent US news content, as well as archives which stretch back into the 1980s featuring top newspapers, newswires, blogs, and news sites in active full-text format.
Google Tips
- Do a Google search on your topic and limit your retrieval to just government websites by adding site://gov to your search - e.g.water flouridation site://gov
- You can also limit your retrieval to just university websites by adding site://edu to your search - e.g. water flouridation site://edu
- Do a Google search on your topic, then click the News tab to only see news articles
