Additional Library Resources

This page features additional Medical Library Resources available to any OUWB student that are not specifically recommended by the AFCP Course Directors, but that you may find useful as additional study tools. You will find things here like databases tailored to anatomy, 3D imaging applications, and the Medical Library's Virtual Reality headset that comes pre-installed with several Anatomy study apps.

3D Imaging Resouces

e-Anatomy is an anatomical database providing more than 3,000 images of the human body. It provides cross-sectional, gross, and radiological anatomy derived from various types of medical imaging, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT) scans.
Thieme Teaching Assistant: Anatomy This link opens in a new window
MedOne Thieme Teaching Assistant Anatomy is a web-based presentation tool, featuring powerful functionality to enrich and deepen the classroom experience.
It features over 2,800+ full-color illustrations from Gilroy et al.’s Atlas of Anatomy, Schuenke et al.’s THIEME Atlas of Anatomy and Baker et al.’s Anatomy for Dental Medicine.

Virtual Reality Headset

Flash Cards

The Quite Study Space, located in the Medical Library spaces on the first floor of Kresge Library, houses a wealth of anatomy based Flash Cards for study purposes.

Skeletons and Bone Boxes

In the same Quite Study Space as well as in our Collaborative Study Space, you will find additional 3D models that can be used for further study. These include Bone Boxes, Life-Sized Anatomical Skeletons, Head Section Models, and Organ Models.

Collection of Netter Reference books that include anatomical images from the Green Books, Netter's Atlas of Human Anatomy, and Netter's Concise Radiologic Anatomy.
Thieme MedOne Education This link opens in a new window
Collection of textbooks and color atlases in anatomy, medicine, and the life sciences published by Thieme. Authorized users can read the books online or download them to their personal devices.
