Academic Integrity in Research & Writing Micro-Course

OU Libraries maintains the university-wide resource on Academic Integrity in Research and Writing. This information is presented as a micro-course, which is a freestanding online course (in eSpace) that you can enroll in and work through. If you work through the content and earn at least an 80% on the final quiz, you receive a credential of course completion, which is a digital badge.

The purpose of this micro-course is to give you a more in-depth understanding of:

  • academic integrity and plagiarism
  • how and when to use sources
  • how to quote, paraphrase, and cite

You can also use this micro-course to learn more about citation styles, or how to give credit to existing ideas in your work in your academic discipline.

This micro-course takes about 45-60 minutes to complete.

You can also earn credentials when you complete the learning content on each of the citation styles -- you should work through the APA Style content.

The available credentials, or badges, for this micro-course are dated -- they can only be earned during the current academic year.
