Finding Course Reserves

Looking for a book or article that your instructor has placed on reserve?

The best way to search for course reserves is by using Library OneSearch.

Users can performs a basic search for course reserve items by searching by course code, course name, title of the book/article, and/or instructor's name. Items that are marked as course reserves in relation to any of those search terms will be displayed in a separate panel at the top of the catalog's list of search results.

Here's an example:

Let's say you're looking for course reserve items for ENG 4900 (which is a capstone seminar course for students in the English Department). Start your search by searching the course code in the Library OneSearch search bar. Click Search.

Items on reserve for this course are indicated in the gray panel positioned at the top of the search results page. To review more information about individual items (including availability), click on the item record for any items that are tagged with the course code. More information about each individual item, including its location, will be displayed in the item record (red box).
