WRT 1060 - Composition II

Library Instruction for WRT 1060

First, all WRT 1060 students need to work through an online learning module.

  3. Evaluating Information Sources
  4. Making Connections and Expanding Your Research

Students who earn a score of 80% or higher on a learning assessment at the end of this module will earn a badge of completion. Find out how to access and share your badges.

Second, students participate in librarian-led instruction (once they've worked through the online instructional module for WRT 1060).

Generally, this instruction will be in the same format as their course (as a pre-recorded video for asynchronous online classes or as a live online / in-person session for classes with scheduled sessions). 

As a result of these librarian-led experiences, students will be able to:

  • Use a variety of approaches to search for information in intentional, strategic ways
  • Find different perspectives on a topic or idea
  • Identify strategies to use in determining whether an information source is credible about a certain topic or idea
